What Did I Do To Prepare This Week?

By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

What did I do to prepare this week? More harvesting! Potatoes needed to be dug, washed and put up in the root cellar. More canning and some dehydrating. Some freezing, but I don’t have much room for that. And watering! This county is a Federal Disaster Area for all the rain we got early on in the season (And 15 inches of snow on May 2nd!) and now we are officially in drought conditions! Hard year in the garden, not nearly the harvest I had hoped for. And starting to get some of the beds ready for winter.

Winter already?! Yes, even though it is 90 degrees in September as I write this, anytime after September 15th our first frosts will come. MinnesOta! The season’s are quick here!

I am going to give you all a heads up. September 18th was my first post on SCP and we are preparing a special Anniversary Celebration from September 15 to the 22nd! So, PLEASE give me comments on what YOU thought were the most important and/or interesting articles that you read on SCP this last year! And what YOU would like to see in the way of a Celebration for all of us seasoned citizen preppers!

Okay Patriots, how did you prepare this week?

A smile for you…
