 By Bev,

What did I do to prepare this week? I ordered and received a <$20 solar battery charger that can be used to charge simple cell phones, a computer or other electronic devices. I am testing it out and will eventually do a review for you. Bought 4 more cans of Camp Heat which is my choice for inside cooking in an emergency situation.

And have come to the conclusion that solar energy can only be one option for me as an off-grid power resource. Why? Because my house is oriented with the directions and the southern windows are covered with a porch, plus there are mature evergreen trees to the south and west and large, mature diciduous trees to the east and even north has mature evergreens blocking the sun. My maximum exposure is 3 hours a day in my driveway; or go up 30′ on the barn roof and I could potentially get full sun all day – not really an option. Add to all this, that the sun actually has to shine…

I have 4 full days left to finish getting ready for The Glacier Stops Here expo with my Fossil Adventure booth – WOW, this is a lot of work! And I haven’t even thought about my seminars yet… But I have gotten donated over 2,500 fossils from around the world to give to kids at the expo! If you would like to see what I have been up to, go HERE.

Coming up this week we have prepping for visitors, expect the unexpected, why you should have a junk pile, and more!

This site is all about YOU! The older prepper. SHARE!

Please email us at: scprepper at outlook dot com, checked a couple times a week by Rourke.

Or email me at my personal box: bcfossillady at gmail dot com, checked a couple times a day usually, when I’m not at my Mother’s.

Okay Patriots, how did you prepare this week?

Wow, this dog is more helpful than most family members! Enjoy!

A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions.

The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.”
