By Bev,

What did I do to prepare this week? I made another can rotator and bought a large, clear, plastic container for a $1 from a used store. Every little thing helps… But beyond my preps, I was really concerned about the 100,000+ people who have been without power for six days from Michigan to Maine – an ice storm.

Ice storms are probably the worst for above ground electric lines. The weight of the ice just drags them down and then there are all the downed tree limbs from the ice. This is a short term electrical failure: time to pull together and just get through it. But what if the power went out for… And there weren’t motels, etc. to go to?

This is why we prepare, so that we don’t have to go to a motel and spend Christmas somewhere other than home.

This site is all about YOU! The older prepper. SHARE!

Okay Patriots, how did you prepare this week?

Proverbs 27:12

“A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions.

The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.”
