What did I do to prepare this week? I added a few more $1 bills to my B.O.B., put back a few more bags of flour and sugar, bought 10 P-38 can openers, and did some more organizing of my supplies.
A couple of weeks ago, I shared with you how I am labeling and organizing my rolling chest of drawers in the garage. What I didn’t share with you was what I was using to sort some of my “inventory”. At first, using sandwich and snack bags was just a convenient, inexpensive way to sort my nuts, bolts, screws and nails. But now having used them several times on little projects, I am absolutely sold on this method! It sure beats the multiple little brown bags from the hardware store or little plastic boxes of nails and screws that I dump into my pant’s pockets with the leftover eventually ending up in the washing machine.
Yes they are cheap and handy, but I can also see at a glance what is in the baggy – what and how many. I can grab the baggy, put it in my pocket, go out and do whatever I’m doing, set them on the ground or wherever, and they are contained and waterproof (handy this week as we got our first snowfall) and just toss the baggy back in the drawer when I’m done. Perfect for me!
Did you notice this part of the Mission Statement, “Our goal is to facilitate sharing of knowledge among our subscribers…”? Have you thought of writing an article for SCP and sharing some of your knowledge? You know, you don’t have to be a great writer, I’m certainly not perfect, but I will help you look good in print. Okay Patriots, how did you prepare this week?

The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.”
