Seasoned Citizen Prepper Executive Editor Bev will be answering questions this week. The other participating sites are as follows:
Today’s Question: How critical will groups and community be during a WROL situation? If important, what suggestions do you have for fostering it?
I believe that community will be extremely important during a WROL situation! Small rural communities, or communities within larger communities will, hopefully, band together and protect their own.
Unfortunately I have not been able to interest my neighbors or friends in being prepared for any kind of change! I feel very isolated thinking that I may be just too paranoid! However, the sense of community that I receive from the prepper sites is truly uplifting. I am working with a local preacher who understands the need for preparedness and we are considering organizing a community preparedness seminar.

Not much interest until ‘IT’ happens.
I have come to the conclusion that, even in short term emrgencies, that community is not just important to your survival,it is crucial. You cannot be all things to all situations and must therefore rely on like minded people.
Sadly, I believe even ‘like minded people’ are by nature – divisive. Military and law enforcement are now (or soon to be) forced to decide ifn they turn on the people because their government said so.Big Brother is watching…
“Preppers” are as devisive as each individual whether it is what they are prepping for, where they live or simply what they can or cannot afford to do.
There are Oath Keepers, Conservatives, Constitutionalists,Second Amendment Folk,Militia and yes even Tree Huggers as loosely fit into the ‘like minded’ fold.
I am guilty…I will have yourn back if and only if I and you are in agreement on said situation at said moment.
I am old, battered and wily…I have learned it best to ‘lay low’ and that there are too many battles out there to fight, so I pick my battles carefully and because I am old, battered and wily – I fight to win as quickly as possible!
