Homemade Dish Detergent

I have made homemade laundry detergent – worked great. I have NOT made homemade dish detergent as of yet. I have been sitting on this recipe and decided to go ahead and share it. Now – you may ask, “What in the world does this have to do with preparedness?” Well – preparedness is not all about terrorism, nuclear war – and changing a diaper that looks like a ten gallons of melted chocolate ice cream. No – it is also about living in times where prices seem to be heading higher on a weekly basis and the future sometimes seems pretty grim. Saving money and being frugal is directly related to preparedness.

Alright – here is the recipe. Feel free to try it. I hope to get to it myself over the next couple of weeks.

Homemade Dish Detergent
1.5 c LemiShine
3 c non-iodized salt ( I used pickling salt )
3 c borax
3 c washing soda
1 pouch made out of cheese cloth with rice in it to prevent hardening

add 3 tbs to your dishwasher and your done. It makes tons and lasts forever.

OK – be honest…..you’ve seen a diaper like that, haven’t you?

Take care all –

Rourke
