July 17th An infiltrator is killed…….
It was bound to happen. Someone entered the neighborhood and one of the patrols shot and killed the man. The patrol, Reggie I think, was walking around the side of a house a little too close when the guy jumped him. Another patrol saw the incident approx 40 yards away and ran to assist. The guy had grabbed Reggie’s rifle and they were fighting over it when Reggie let the rifle go and drew his Glock 17 before his rifle could be turned on him. Reggie’s risky move paid off as he put 3 rounds of 9mm into the trespassers chest.
Reggie broke down after the shooting. He never wanted to kill someone. He kept saying that he wondered if the trespasser was someone’s father, or son, or husband. He has been taken off patrol of course.
The trespassers body was taken well away from the community and buried. One of my neighbors was training to be a minister at a local Baptist church and said a few words.
Folks are beginning to understand the need for security and to take the daily tasks of neighborhood upkeep serious. This is our lifes and we can’t mess around.
M has lost some weight, like the rest of us. Her jeans are fitting loose around the waist so she tied them up with some paracord. Her brown hair has grown a little bit reaching just past her neckline – just like when we were back in school. Blue eyes and olive completion – simply beautiful. I am so glad she is with me.
